| Dogma:
Expand your magical powers to the limits of creation. No stone should be left unturned in the search for understanding. Magic is the true art, a refined form of study, and should not be treated lightly.
|
| Description:
A dark-haired, bearded, man of middling years wrapped in expensive robes and carrying a straight black staff. His pack is full of tomes and scrolls, thrust in somewhat haphazardly. He is an intelligent conversationalist, although not an entertaining one.

Lore:
With the defeat of the demonic hordes from the remains of Phalthabin and the successful routing of the foreign goddess and her foul shadow elven minions, the Gods sealed their agreement to depart the world and insure their disputes did not lay such ruin as they recently caused.
After much debate, the great deities agreed to the making of mirrors with purposes that history poorly explains. Far more understood is what followed in their decision to select three mortals each to represent them in the affairs of the world. Each mortal would be given a divine gift of power that would raise them up so they would be powerful and fit servants of each god.
The debate of greatest contention was over who would get to chose first. Jar'Dior and Fan'taween each insisted on reasons why they should take precedence. Once again,
Mal'oi, as was becoming an annoying habit, offered undeniable wisdom: He would choose first and allow either of the rival gods the full right of veto, if they could justify it.
As both of the older gods waited for their chance to put the upstart in his place, Mal'oi spoke of his choice...

"I have no doubt you will each want a champion. A hero of your cause that will battle any odds and seek to bring your people under one unified banner. In honor of the great cause each of you serve, I offer my first choice in the same fashion, though with no heroic prowess and lacking in the charisma needed to rally forth sword and shield.
Instead I submit a man known for his fairness to all and whose purpose will be clear: To keep record of each law written, each oath taken, all words spoken to which others may be bound in valor or villainy.
The supremely honored archmage and judge of the Aztrian Empires eastern realm, Kalos, has never had a judgment overturned or been censured by a just administrator of people.
I submit him as my servant in this cause and as your servant in the pursuit of that which is just and fair also."
And so, Mal'oi spoke with wisdom that his elders could not dispute and again his request was granted.
